قصة النبي إبراهيم عليه السلام
A story about courage, faith, and standing up for what is right. Learn how young Ibrahim questioned the idols of his people.
In the land of Iraq, a long time ago, a baby boy was born. His name was Ibrahim. As he grew up, he noticed something strange. The people around him worshipped statues made of stone and wood. They bowed to these idols and prayed to them. But Ibrahim looked at the sky, the sun, the moon, and the stars. He asked himself a simple question: "Which of these is truly worthy of worship?"
Ibrahim thought carefully. First he said, "I love the stars." But then the stars set and he said, "I do not love what sets." Then he looked at the moon. But the moon also set. Then he looked at the sun, the biggest and brightest of all. But the sun also set. Ibrahim realized something important: everything in the sky changes and passes away. Only Allah is always there, never changing, never going away.
Ibrahim stood up and spoke to his father and his people. He said, "Why do you worship things that cannot hear you, cannot help you, and cannot protect you? Worship Allah instead. He created you and He takes care of you." But the people were angry. They did not want to hear the truth. Some even threatened Ibrahim. But Ibrahim was brave. He kept speaking the truth with a gentle heart.
One night, while the people were away, Ibrahim walked into the temple where all the idols stood. He looked at the big statue in the middle. He took an axe and smashed it into pieces. Then he hung the axe on the neck of the biggest idol. In the morning, the people came back and saw their idols destroyed. They were furious. They asked, "Who did this?" Someone said, "We heard a young man named Ibrahim talking about the idols."
The people decided to punish Ibrahim. They built a huge fire and threw Ibrahim into it. The fire roared and blazed higher than ever before. But Allah is the Protector of all believers. Allah said to the fire, "Be cool and safe for Ibrahim." And the fire did not burn Ibrahim. He walked out of the flames completely unharmed. The people were amazed. They realized that Ibrahim's God was truly powerful.
Prophet Ibrahim taught us to be brave and to stand up for what is right, even when it is hard. He taught us to think carefully and ask questions. He taught us that Allah is the only One worthy of worship, and that Allah protects those who believe in Him.
Be brave and speak the truth, even when people do not want to hear it. Allah is with those who are honest.
